So, there's the gate that goes to the dam at Spada... Our key opens it.... it takes you to open areas even though that area specifically isn't open for probably a quarter to half a mile in...

There are signs that say foot and bicycle traffic only and that everything is being recorded.

Our key opens the lock.  I was afraid to go in, because I can see the camera and the lock box has an electrical wire going up to it that I feel like sets and alarm off when you open it.  Can we go in here?

HELP please!?!

I turned back at that gate also.  I never even tried the key.

Who is the contact with DNR?  I don't have my paperwork, but I'll give him a call if someone provides it for me...

Try the office at Sedro Woolley, (360) 856-3500

They are very helpful there.  Let us know what you find out.

Got a call into Chris Hinkly??  Not sure if thats the correct last name or not.  He's in the field this morning, but hopefully he calls me back.  I'll let everyone know when I hear.

I would like to know also.

Hunted spring 08', on the 17th day took a 6'3". Drew again 2010, saw a monster on the 10th day at 60 yds- hunting him for 17 more days, never laid eyes on him again. He was a tree peeling machine. In my estimation he was at least 10% bigger than my 08 bear, you know, the kind that makes a grown men cry.  Both of those bears were LOW!

They give out keys for the spring bear hunt for easy acsess to problem areas.  If your key opens it i would say its fair game to acsess the legal hunting area behind the gate.  They want the bears gone.  I would go for it. :twocents:

Got a tentative yes from DNR (Chris Hanky).  Said to contact City of Everett Security to let them know I would be up there if I thought it might be a problem.  City of Everett security responsible for the area is Joe Dreimiller (425) 257-8212.  I'm going to call and try to head up there Thurs to check it out.  Didn't really sound like we needed to call and ask permission, it was mostly a call to say heads up your alarm might go off but we're accessing bear area. :IBCOOL:

I believe you, but I want to check out some virgin territory just in case.  Also, I haven't seen a &*@$%ing thing down low yet aside from some sign that suggests I should.

I went back there. I set off all sorts of bells. Goes back about a 1/4 mile and has a tree down across the road. No chain saw that day so I turned back. I was expecting a call from DNR asking for the key back for doing a big no no. Nothing yet.
Are you ready for the zombies?
